This work was created in 1993 while John Wayne Gacy (yes that one) was on death row and after he was given his execution date. Pogo is now dressed in white and waving in the other direction indicating his final goodbye. There are drastically fewer Goodbye Pogos compared to his standard Pogo. Many of Gacy’s artworks were bought and destroyed by a man who wanted to erase his legacy.
